Together we are going to learn new things, play new games, and open a whole new world! I hope to instill a love for learning and exploring in the hearts of our Kindergarten students throughout the year!

Announcements

Change in Transportation

If there is a change in your child's transportation, please send in a written note signed by a parent/guardian is required.  Email or Class Dojo messages can not be accepted.  If there is an emergency, please call the office.

Extra Clothes

Please provide an extra change of clothes (in a labeled zip-lock bag) to keep in the classroom.  We recommend pants and a t-shirt that can be used throughout the school year.  If your child uses the extra set of clothing, please be sure to send in a replacement change of clothing.


Snack

Your child will be given time for a quick morning snack.  Please provide 1 easy to eat, healthy snack (no cookies, please) and water (no juice, please).  Students should be able to open their snack easily.

 


Things Your Child Can Do At Home

  • Read, Read, Read
  • Practice identifying letters, sounds and numbers
  • Practice writing the sounds they child hear in words
  • Write sentences
  • Read and write sight words
  • Writing your child's name correctly- first and last
       (starting with capital, rest lowercase letters)
  • Counting objects and writing the number
  • Identifying the coins and their values
  • Sorting objects
  • Writing numbers 1-20
  • Counting to 100 by 1's 10's and 5's
