Gifted Identification Update
(June 8, 2020)

With the closure of Prince William County Schools due to COVID-19, gifted identification has been on hold. At this time, we expect to resume the identification process in August. Additional meetings of the  division-level Gifted Identification/Placement Committee have been scheduled to review cases and make decisions regarding eligibility and placement for gifted services.  We will continue to keep you updated as new information becomes available. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the gifted resource teacher at your child's school.

Welcome to Gifted Resources with Mrs. Willemann!

Schools Involved in Gifted Needs in Education Today

The SIGNET program at Covington-Harper Elementary offers gifted education services for students who have been determined eligible in a specific academic aptitude area or areas. The curriculum is designed to expand and extend the classroom curriculum while encouraging exploration in areas of interest. The students attend SIGNET class one day per week. Additionally, the gifted resource teacher collaborates with the regular classroom teacher to plan strategies for differentiation of instruction.

Classroom Vision & Mission:
Vision: Every learner will strive to meet their individual potential.

Mission: In collaboration with teachers, parents, and the community, all students will be challenged to achieve academic success, achieve personal excellence, and become life long learners
