Dear Covington-Harper Elementary School Staff, Students, and Families:

It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as principal of Covington-Harper Elementary School.  I am aware that educational success does not occur without a strong partnership with staff, students, and families.   I look forward to building these relationships over the coming months and to start the tradition of excellence as a World-Class school.

Professionally, I have served as an educational administrator for the past eleven years in Prince William County Public Schools.  For the past three years, I helped the “Eagles” soar at Leesylvania Elementary as their principal.  Prior to that, I was the assistant principal at both Swans Creek and Mary Williams Elementary Schools.  In these positions, I have learned the importance of creating a unified team that works together to serve all children.  Prior to becoming an educational administrator, I taught third, fourth, and fifth grades at King Elementary and fifth grade at Williams.

On a personal note, I have lived in Prince William County for the past 30 years with my wife, Kim, and am the proud father of two children, Taylor and Kyle.  Both had the opportunity to receive a World-Class Education in Prince William County Schools and I hope to offer the same opportunity to each of our Covington-Harper CHeetahs!

Although the school still has “construction” taking place, we are open for registrations.  Please call or stop in to make an appointment to register for the 2017-18 school year.

Once again, I am excited and honored to be joining your team as the principal at CHES.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions for the coming school year.  I can be reached at or 571-466-4500.  I look forward to working with the community, staff, and students very soon!
